Ella ella, eh, eh eh...

I want/need a new umbrella. The one I have recently kind of broke and I just noticed today that it has rust on the inside..wtf? Ew. So I need a new one. And if you might ask, yes I have narrowed down my choices of umbrellas...to 3 :D

Here they are:

The light saber umbrella. Yes, it lights up!

The Umbrella Corp umbrella! Sweeet.

And finally, the beautiful sky umbrella! I love it!

The only thing stopping me from buying one of these fabulous umbrellas is the prices, yikes. The cheapest one is the umbrella umbrella, but I think the sky one is so awesome. Looking up at the perfect sky would make me so happy on rainy days. The light saber one is mostly on here because its just plain awesome and well, I like it, though after I think about it, I don't think I'd actually get that one.

New Job

Start of a new patch in my life. I have now completed my first week of having a full-time job. It's pretty swell because I have a set schedule and weekends off. The only trouble is, is that I'm outta the house from 7am-8pm, mon-fri. I commute on the bus, which isn't so bad because honestly, if I drove, it would take me probably just as long and cost me twice or even 3-4 times as much. Also, being this busy means that I don't get to see my significant other as often as I like. She goes to school and has a part time job, while I'm working 40 hours a week and I still don't have a license yet. I have an appointment set at the dmv soon, so I hope all goes well and then I'll be a licensed driver and be able to visit her more often, woo! And with all that said, I'm going to be off to bed. I shoulda been asleep awhile ago. I'm going to wake up in a few hours actually, so tah tah, good night. See ya later...

It's HOT.

Why? Perhaps the seasons are changing, since what was suppose to be summer wasn't characteristic of what summer should look and feel like. This summer was full of gloomy days and temperatures of 70s and maybe 80s. It was weird. It's probably global warming. Winter will become summer, spring will be fall, summer will be spring and fall will be winter? Wait, did I get that right? Whatever, the point is it looks like the seasons are shifting forward!

And with all this heat, I just miss having a freaking desk. It's horrible sitting in this heat with a hot ass laptop laying on your lap! It's not comfy, I'll tell you that much, but I gotta use this thing, so I have to deal.

La la LA...

I was originally going to write about things that I hated at the moment, but I decided I should go for something more cheerful. Like, how I love free samples and coupons. They're neat. I think I shall go look for more online. Hurray for free things and discounts! :D

Time to whine and complain.

I need new clothes. I find myself opening my wardrobe, looking at what I have to choose from to wear that day and sighing. I don't like much of the stuff I have, and this causes me to wear the same things over and over again. Lame. I wish I could just go on a shopping spree like they do in the movies. That would be pretty sweet.  But alas, I am jobless and have no money. So, this keeps me from going and buying clothes I would like to wear. Shoes, too. And a coat. Bras, a belt..and you get the point. And of course just little things, I would have normally been able to purchase while I was still at school with a work study job. Oh well. Not much I can do about it but to go off and search for a job now. Wish me luck. Toodles.

Mr. Sun, Sun. Mr. Golden Sun...

Please shine down on me!! If you haven't already figured it out, the sun failed at showing its bright and shiny face today. It's quite sad. Autumn/Fall is right around the corner (Sept. 22) and I feel that I was robbed of my summer weather. We had a few days of hot weather this summer, but nothing like what I have experience in previous years

I just checked the weather and it looks like it's going to be cloudy all week. How sad. Well, if the sun doesn't come out tomorrow, I hope it comes out soon before fall begins.

New shoes.

I went to the swap meet today and got new chucks. They're usually about $10-15 cheaper compared to regular stores that sell them. Though, they may be knock offs...but I sure can't see the difference, so it doesn't really matter. Eh, I like saving money, so it's worth walking through the countless aisles to find some shoes. They have soo many things at swap meets, it's crazy and just plain awesome.

Anywho, my old ones were a bit..old. Dirty, worn-out, you know, the usual. But chucks look good that way! haha.. I kind of don't want to throw them away. My mom just gave me the foochi face (grossed out facial expression) when she saw my old pair compared to the new ones. hahaha. Here, have a look:

Whoa, right? lol. I don't know, I like the old ones but needed new ones because they weren't comfy anymore :( They got me an A for a photo story project I had to do for photography! lol. Oh well, out with the old and in with the new shoes!

GMO's

What the hell? Why are people dumb? I just don't get it sometimes. How could they think changing an living organisms genes is smart? They say it will make the crop better but, will it? People messing with plants' genes are just messing with the natural order of nature. They go and put fish and peanut genes into things like tomatoes and broccoli, but then they don't think about how that could effect the unsuspecting people eating these veggies that are allergic to fish and peanuts.

THEN, they say they don't want to label GMOs because it will make people think genetically modified food is "different." Well, yeah, that's because it IS different. You have gone into this organism natural gene build up and have changed it so it can grow with its own built in pesticide. If that's not different from regular plants, then I don't know what is...I'm sure they're just scared consumers will realize people are off experimenting with their food and refuse to buy them, causing GMO makers to lose money...

I really just don't understand it. Sigh. People are stupid and I just don't know why...

Vroom, vroom.

I hate driving. Sure, it's convenient and helps me get to places quicker as opposed to public transportation, BUT if freaks me out. I get nervous and it's no good. Poop.

I'm still learning how to drive, by the way. I will get my license and then go "HA! I am officially a 22-year old licensed driver. Woo...

Speaking of donuts...

Courtesy of failblog.org

Lol. Love it.

3D glasses

Why do people think 3D movies are so fun/cool/exciting? To be honest, I hate them. I mean the concept is cool, but if I want to see something in 3D I'll just a walk down the street and look at the world with my own eyes and not behind 3D glasses.

BUT people might say I'm bitter because I cannot fully enjoy the experience that is 3D movies/shows (Honey, I shrunk the audience, Captain Eo, Shrek 4?D). I suffer from an eye condition called Strabismus, (wall-eyed, cock-eyed). It's lame, but I'm not complaining about missing out on 3D movies.

I don't know, they just seem unnecessary and always seem like they're missing some type of color and brightness to them. It's sad.

Anyway, I stumbled upon a pair of 3D glasses my sister gave me a couple of years ago. I'm not going to lie, they're pretty sweet looking (but thats only cause they're the red+blue ones). Not that it matters though, I can't use them anyway, no matter how cool they are...hahaha.

Donuts...

My sister bought donuts (doughnuts? whatever) the other day. As I sat there, eating a sugar/calorie filled doughnut, I saw this on the box..

What? Really Winchells? Of course anything is possible with two donuts in your hand, unless of course you forward into the future of countless times of having a doughnut in each hand. Then you'll be bedridden because of all those sugary, delicious pastries. Hahaha...

Yeah, well that just made me sound like I hate doughnuts. I kinda do, but only because they're so tasty and sooo bad for you. The best doughnut I've ever had is from Babycakes NYC. No, I've never been to nyc, but they have a bakery in downtown LA. Wooo. It's a vegan bakery that is gluten free and sugar free. How sweet is that? Check it out: Babycakes.

Then there's Stan's Doughnuts, which probably is far worse for you than anything Babycakes serves, haha..My favorites: Peanut butter and banana and PB and J doughnuts. They also have a peanut butter cup one. Dear lord...such fatty goodness (or well, horribleness! Lol).

Sorry if I made you crave doughnuts. Oh well.

Funny Words

Panini. Just say it. Doesn't it sound funny? Say it 3 times fast. Haha! Or arugula. I love the way it sounds. Bungalow, too! Have any other words I can laugh at after I say them? Let me know...

Caffeine. Good idea?

So this morning I had a craving for coffee. Don't get me wrong, I'm not addicted to it, but I like it every once in a while, well, if it's made a certain way. I'm very picky with my coffee (and with other foods, too, sadly..)

See, when I drink coffee, I usually get a vanilla iced coffee. So, when I attempt to make it at home, all the ice melts, resulting in watered-down coffee (yuck). And then, where to get the syrup? I'm not about to spend money on something I don't need. So I was thinking, "If only I had that vanilla syrup!" *shakes fist* Then a thought occurred to me. Google.

Haha, yes I searched how to make homemade vanilla syrup for coffee and ta-da! I made it. My mom usually makes coffee in the mornings, so there was a pot there that wasn't extremely hot and so, I finally had my homemade, vanilla iced coffee. Yum.

ps. I have decided to start a blog about what I do, see, think, etc (as illustrated above) because I can. I have lots of extra time on my hands now that I'm done with school and have yet to find a job, so far. (I'm still searching. Wish me luck!) So there you have it. The beginning of another blog, one amongst millions of others, woo. Enjoy.
